Thank you. I can't take full credit for the design, because it was a free template I got off the WordPress site that I modified to add the "Om" symbol on the top and bottom. :-)

Agree with Nikki, the nowadays media makes it all so standard. If they want to show someone happy - he/she is young, healthy, beautiful, skinny and often white.

We never see reality advertisements and pics in journals - about middle age or old or even ancient people; about plus-size and happy, about those who make a bigger part of society.. This forms imprints in our mind and unnatural aspirations. This really spoils children and man with beauty standards which are simply not met.

Great site design, I like the OM :)
May all beings find real peace

As a NOT skinny white woman who just started doing yoga and loves it so much I applaud your decision. One of my frustrations as a plus-size woman is finding images of healthy plus-size women exercising. The truth is you CAN be healthy and plus-size. I remember when I first started my health campaign I was inspired by the story of a plus-size triathlete. This story was not run in traditional media but in a magazine for plus-size women. It's disappointing to me that when focusing on HEALTH the media is not egalitarian about making it appeal to ALL people regardless of their size. The truth is that was what attracted me to yoga (aside from the fact that one of my closest friends is a yoga teacher). Kudos to you for focusing on bringing yoga to all people - this is what will make a difference! It already has to a plus-size woman like me.
